Here are some of the photos I took during the 2011 FHM Sexiest Women victory party held on July 14 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
Rumor has it that the country’s largest beer producer spent millions of pesos to catapult Sam Pinto into this year’s FHM Sexiest Women list. Apparently, the 21-year-old commercial model and actress is the new face of its product that is advertised as a low calorie beer, not to mention that the same product is FHM Sexiest Women victory party’s major sponsor.
Amid several speculations, it’s a well-deserved win for Sam who emerged as this year’s sexiest female in the Philippines after 30 million text and online votes were cast. As a matter of fact, during the FHM 100 Sexiest bash held on July 14 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, Sam received the loudest cheers among the scantily clothed women.
First to sashay the ramp were major sponsors’ product models—some of them were barely clothed that they left nothing to your imagination, a sight that would definitely make your grandmothers cringe. But of course they received huge approval from the testosterone charged audience that kept on craning their necks to check who’s going to be the next vixen to glide on the stage.
Around a hundred women, including models and dancers, paraded the six-foot ramp, which gave the male dominated audience a better view of the show. In other words, the stage was enough for the audience to ogle and drool.
This year’s theme did not fail to amuse the audience. Hot momma Eula Valdez (no. 46 in the list) opened the program proper with her femme fatale number. Then performances from Michelle Madrigal and Regine Angeles followed. Iwa Motto and Daiana Menezes teased the audience with their pole dancing spectacle while Wendy Valdez and Jef Gaitan were put in a big cage before they dashed to the stage to gyrate and do their thing.
And finally the most awaited moment of the evening highlighted the Cabaret themed by-invitation party. Sam Pinto appeared on the stage wearing a red corset and a thrifty skirt enough for cherring crowd to see her buns. Nevertheless, she was the star of the evening looking like a life-sized Barbie with a glowing skin.
The show ended with the introduction of the women who made the 100 Sexiest list this year. Among the names who received the loudest applause were Aubrey Miles, Eula Valdez, Ellen Adarna, and Katrina Halili. Loud cheers also welcomed Bianca Manalo, Paloma, NiƱa Jose, Saicy Aguila, Paw Diaz, Misa Campo, Janna Dominguez, Sheree Bautista and Alyssa Alano.
Noticeably, this years top sexiest like Marian Rivera (no. 2), Angel Locsin (3), Cristine Reyes (4), and Solenn Heussaff (5) were no-show. Nonetheless, the entertainment provided by the women present was enough to make the more than 6,000 audience go home with lots of things to talk and dream about.
Ultimately, this year’s bash was a big draw to the fans of the leading men’s magazine. It is safe to say that 90 percent of the attendees were males. The great anticipation to this year’s event was evident when as early as 5 p.m., even the VIP gate was already teeming with eager spectators. The gates opened at 7 p.m. and show started half past nine, and that also gave the attendees enough time to roam around the venue where special booths were installed. Inside these booths, everyone can fulfill their fantasies having small chats and quick snaps with promo models, which were also more than willing to tease anyone while waiting for the big show.
