Catalyst 2950 Password Recovery Procedure

This is basically a link to a very handy video that shows you exactly how to reset the password on most enterprise level Cisco switches.

There maybe a number of reason you would want to do this, you might have inherited the environment from predecessors whose documentation left a lot to be desired or as in my case I purchased a switch with a config on it already.

This process can be used to either wipe the switch entirely or just reset and remove passwords whilst keeping the current configuration. If you are in a production environement please note that this does require the switch to be turned off and therefore downtime.
